The dataset provides an extract on social care clients and the services they receive.
The collection of social care data commenced in 2014.At that time, it was known as the Health and Social Care Data Integration and Intelligence (HSCDIIP) dataset, this was later renamed to Source.
The Source dataset was reviewed in 2018 and aligned with the Scottish Government Social Care Survey into one single dataset to meet multiple information needs.
Public Health Scotland is an NHS Board.
We are uniquely sponsored by the Scottish Government and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) on behalf of local government.
